GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti: New cards available with DLSS 4

NVIDIA is entering the next phase of its mission to make the advanced performance of its new graphics cards available to a wider range of gamers. The new GeForce RTX 5060 graphics cards based on the Blackwell architecture officially expands the RTX 5000 series. They aim to bring AI-accelerated performance, photorealistic ray tracing effects, smooth gameplay, and minimal gaming responsiveness to millions of users who have so far stuck with older models like the GTX 1660 or RTX 2060.

A new era of mid-range graphics cards: the GeForce RTX 5060

Gamers will see several improvements right away: the new DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, higher FPS, better image quality and lower response times. All this for a starting MSRP price starting at $299 (base models). The first cards are already appearing on the Slovak market in e-shops starting from 400€.

DLSS 4 and neural rendering: artificial intelligence is changing the way rendering works

DLSS 4 is a key innovation of the new generation of GeForce graphics cards. It is an advanced AI system that uses so-called transformer models trained on high-quality data from real games.

DLSS 4 combines several elements:

  • Super Resolution – increases image resolution and sharpness
  • Ray Reconstruction – reconstructs lighting effects and reflections using neural networks
  • Multi Frame Generation – generates up to 3 additional frames to one rendered frame

These technologies work with NVIDIA Reflex to minimize input latency. The result? A better image than native rendering, smoother motion, and faster responses.

DLSS 4 in practice (on RTX 5060 Ti at 1440p Max)

  • Hogwarts Legacy: higher texture sharpness, more realistic reflections, stable FPS
  • A Plague Tale: Requiem: approximately 20% better performance even without MFG support
  • Marvel Rivals: 100 FPS at 1080p
  • Competitive titles like Valorant: 300 FPS with extremely low response

New RTX 5060 models

The RTX 5060 brings a major upgrade over the RTX 4060 and RTX 3060. The RTX 5060 edition includes two desktop models:

GeForce RTX 5060 Ti

  • Available from 16 April 2025
  • Configurations: 8 GB GDDR7 ($379) and 16 GB GDDR7 ($429)
  • Enhanced gaming performance with and without DLSS 4
  • Double the speed over RTX 4060 Ti in supported games
  • Lower latency thanks to Reflex Blackwell architecture

GeForce RTX 5060

  • Available in May 2025
  • Starts at $299
  • Optimized for 1080p gaming (100 FPS in AAA titles)
  • Huge jump for users of older cards (GTX 1660, RTX 2060)

Graphics cards will come from leading manufacturers like ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, Palit, ZOTAC, PNY and more. Factory overclocked versions will also be available.

Available RTX 5060 Ti in Slovak e-shops

The first RTX 5060 Ti units have already appeared in Slovak e-shops, its weaker brother RTX 5060 is still waiting for release in May.

Hardware

The new mid-range graphics card delivers a significant leap in performance, and it also brings technologies that until now only Nvidia’s high-end models have had.

High-end features

  • Blackwell Tensor Cores – accelerate AI processes
  • Ray Tracing Cores – realistic lighting effects
  • Next-generation Shader Cores – higher efficiency and compute capacity
  • GDDR7 memory – high throughput and power efficiency
  • DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) – 8K and high refresh rate ready

Gaming performance on the go

In May, the GeForce RTX 5060 graphics cards for notebooks will also expand the portfolio, which will:

  • feature the same AI and ray tracing technologies
  • thin from 14.9 mm
  • start at $1,099
  • achieve 100 FPS in ray-traced games and 300 FPS in e-sport titles

These laptops also take advantage of Blackwell Max-Q optimizations, thus combining battery life, performance, while still remaining thin and sleek. So gamers get a powerful machine in a mobile form factor without compromise.

Our verdict: The RTX 5060 changes the mid-range from the ground up

NVIDIA is finally bringing high-end technology to the mainstream. The RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti aren’t just a cosmetic upgrade – they’re a full-fledged evolution of gaming performance:

  • DLSS 4 pushes image quality beyond native rendering
  • Neural rendering improves every pixel with AI
  • Reflex reduces responsiveness, which you’ll feel in every game
  • Priced from $299 (more expensive in the UK), it’s attractive even for budget gamers

These cards are exactly what the mid-range segment needed – performance that is no longer just differentiated by FPS numbers, but also by the quality of the experience.
