Nvidia is likely gearing up to launch a new GeForce RTX 50-series SUPER graphics card before Christmas 2025. According to various sources, the company will increase memory sizes on key mid-range and high-end models to improve performance when gaming at high resolutions, especially with ray tracing and neural rendering enabled.
New technologies and performance improvements
The main new feature in the GeForce RTX 50-series SUPER is the use of new 24GB GDDR7 memory chips. These chips will allow to create models with 18 GB of memory over a 192-bit bus or 24 GB of memory over a wider 256-bit bus. In addition to the larger memory capacity, the number of shaders and GPU clock speeds are also expected to increase slightly. These improvements should bring a significant performance boost when playing the latest games on the highest settings.
Possible GeForce RTX 50-series SUPER specifications
Nvidia is about to introduce several GeForce RTX 50-series SUPER variants , which include the RTX 5070 SUPER, RTX 5070 Ti SUPER and RTX 5080 SUPER models.
The RTX 5070 SUPER will see the biggest performance boost thanks to an increased number of CUDA cores. Conversely, the RTX 5070 Ti SUPER and RTX 5080 SUPER will offer the most significant memory improvements. Each will feature up to 24GB of VRAM, a 50% increase over previous models. See the overview table below for details.

Expected date of market launch
According to the latest information, the new GeForce RTX 50-series SUPER cards may hit store shelves before Christmas 2025. Nvidia is expected to unveil these cards as early as October or November 2025, which could be surprising given that the release was originally not expected to occur until 2026. Oh, and the look of the RTX 50-series SUPER cards themselves won’t be drastically different from their original versions, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer for the official unveiling of the look and all the technical specs.

GeForce RTX 50-series SUPER: Quick turnaround in the market
Nvidia has launched Super versions of graphics cards in the past, which have brought improvements in performance, thanks to an improved manufacturing process and better component selection. As with previous models, these cards will replace the original versions, simplifying the market and making it easier for customers to choose. The GeForce RTX 50-series SUPER is expected to be a response to the success of the competition, especially the success of AMD’s RX 9000 series, which are enjoying increasing popularity among gamers.
So what can we expect?
Nvidia is about to deliver a new generation of graphics cards with higher performance and better support for modern games. If you’re interested in high performance and enhanced graphics experiences, the GeForce RTX 50-series SUPER will definitely be a key feature you shouldn’t miss. The cards are expected to be officially unveiled sometime in the fall of 2025, with the cards expected to be freely available sometime in early December.
